Thanks to everyone who donated in 2005!
Between contributions and merchandise sales, we made $28,080 over our expenses in 2005. Half of that will be used to build seven children's libraries in Laos. The other half will provide start-up funds for NaNoWriMo 2006. Hooray!

A: Sign ups for this November's NaNoWriMo (and the creation of new user accounts) will begin around October 1, 2006. For Team 2005 participants, the forums and NaNoMail will be functional until mid-September when we'll lock everything down to prepare for the 2006 event. Unfortunately, we don't have the resources to keep registration open to new participants year-round, but...

Countdown to re-launch
Hello Team 2006! Sign-ups for a new NaNoWriMo begin on October 1. We're all working 18 hours a day to finish up site text, load in new icons, and get everything to a reasonably functional state before opening the site for another year of creative mayhem.
